Joe Westerman has left hospital and will return to training later this week after he was knocked out during Castleford's defeat by St Helens. The 19-year-old loose forward was treated for 12 minutes on the field on Sunday and carried off unconscious after hitting the ground heavily from a tackle. A scan has cleared him of injury and he is now free to continue his hugely promising career. The Saints forward Lee Gilmour, who made the tackle, has been cleared of any culpability. The Rugby League said yesterday that there was "no conclusive evidence of the point of contact or of foul play from the defender". Castleford's Craig Huby has been sent a warning letter from the League after a biting allegation was made by Saints' Leon Pryce. But the video evidence is inconclusive, according to the RFL.
