Tiger Woods' return to competition tomorrow at the Byron Nelson Classic in Texas will be watched by more than 350 members of the media. A record 150,000 spectator badges were also sold for the week. Woods, who will be playing in his first event since winning the Masters in April, said in reference to his altercation with Fuzzy Zoeller: "I'm comfortable with people taking shots at me and I'm comfortable with people saying nice things about me."

Nick Faldo lost to Tom Lehman, of the United States, in a Wonderful World of Golf contest at Barbados' Royal Westmoreland course in Bridgetown yesterday. Faldo fired a seven-over-par 79, compared with Lehman's 75, but still won pounds 62,500 in prize-money
