Golf: Davies drives to victory after bogey
Laura Davies dropped a shot at the first hole of the final round yesterday but recovered her composure to return a superb six-under-par 66 and win the Kosaido Asahi Thailand Open championship in Bangkok. 'I was under pressure at the start of the day and things became even more tense after a bogey at the first,' she said. 'The birdie on the second really took a lot of pressure off me and then I played fine golf.' Her 206 total for three rounds at the Thana City Golf and Country Club was seven shots better than the runner-up, Australia's Mardi Lunn.
