Golf: First tour win for Westwood
Lee Westwood holed a monster putt from just off the 18th green to win the Volvo Scandinavian Masters, his first PGA European Tour victory, in a three-man play-off at Kungsbacka, Sweden, yesterday.
Westwood, Paul Broadhurst and Russell Claydon all shot 68 in the final round and tied for first place on 281, seven under par. At the second extra hole, Westwood sank the greatest putt of his career to take the first prize of pounds 116,660.
