THE 'envelope system' which caused such controversy in the Ryder and PGA Cups, will not be used in the Solheim Cup. Any player unable to compete in the concluding singles on Sunday will forfeit their match and not be given a half-point with a player of the opposing captain's choice. Torrential rain severely disrupted practice at Dalmahoy yesterday, but the heavy going is expected to favour Europe in the fight to reverse their 11 1/2-4 1/2 defeat of two years ago.
