Louis Oosthuizen hits hole in one after bouncing off another ball during final round at The Masters

Louis Oosthuizen somehow found a way to upstage his Masters albatross from 2012 by scoring a hole in one in his final round after bouncing off another ball and into the cup.

The South African narrowly lost out in a play-off against Bubba Watson four years ago, but his albatross at the par-five second went down in history as one of the great shots to ever be seen at Augusta.

However, the 33-year-old found a way to go one better on Sunday, despite being well out of contention after taking to the 16th tee 13 shots off runaway leader Jordan Spieth.

Having seen his playing partner JB Holmes hit his effort to within a few feet of the hole, Oosthuizen landed his tee shot in the centre of the green, before his ball took the slope to begun to swing from right to left.

As the patrons increased in noise, Oosthuizen’s ball managed to deflect off Holmes’ and ricochet into the hole for an incredible hole in one, and it wasn’t far from knocking Holmes’s ball in with it either.

The shot proved to be the third hole in one on the 16th on the final round, with Ireland’s Shane Lowry and American Davis Love III also recording eagles earlier in the day.
