From the Tea Olive tee-off to holing out on the Holly, all 18 holes at Augusta National will pose a different challenge to the 98 competitors invited to compete in the 79th Masters tournament.

It’s where memories have and will be made, from Tiger Woods’ incredible chip-in on the 16th in 2005, Bubba Watson’s almost-impossible approach ion the 10th in his 2012 play-off for the title, and Arnold Palmer’s crowning of Amen Corner – the stretch from 11, 12 and 13 – back in 1958 when the American secured his first Masters Championship.

It will all begin on Thursday morning (afternoon in the UK) when the first group tee-off at 7.35am local time. As has been said many a year, the Masters can’t be won on the first round, but it can surely be lost, while any of the early movers could still encounter troubled waters on the final day just as Rory McIlroy did during his Masters collapse in 2011.
