Masters 2015 preview: Can Rory McIlroy win at Augusta? The Independent's golf expert Kevin Garside looks ahead to the action at Augusta

Kevin Garside previews golf's biggest tournament

The first golfing major of the season is almost upon us and The Independent's Kevin Garside provides the key talking points ahead of this year's Masters.

Despite the Open holding the honour of the oldest of the four major golfing championships, Garside argues that the Augusta tournament has now surpassed the mystique of its UK counterpart: there really is something special about this one.

Not least for Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, who is hoping to finally win the Masters, thus claiming all four majors by the age of 25, reaching the exalted company of Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus. However, Bubba Watson, on home turf, will be aiming to claim a third Masters title in four years.
