Harrington leads in the rain in Spain

No play was possible on the third day of the Peugeot Spanish Open in rain-hit Madrid yesterday, where the rookie Irish professional Padraig Harrington held a three-stroke lead. Harrington may still have to play two more rounds for victory: 36 holes will be attempted today. Karl Wallbank and Paul Nelson were England's only winners in the morning foursomes in the amateur international against France over the New Course at Sunningdale yesterday. England trailed by two and a half points to one and a half.
