Andy Burroughs, the midfielder, scored three times and missed from two penalty strokes in High Wycombe's 3-1 win at Maidenhead at the weekend.

The victory was enough to ensure that High Wycombe, the Nastro Azzurro South Premier leaders, secured the first qualifying place in the National League play-offs. Nick George scored for Maidenhead in a game dominated by Wycombe. Second-placed City of Portsmouth dropped further points in a goalless draw with Lyons.

Gore Court, with goals from Ashley Hooker and Nick Avery, beat Staines 2-1 and still have an outside chance of taking second place. Woking, with a Nick Wren goal against Oxford Hawks, slipped into fourth place.

Blueharts, with only games against the bottom clubs, Dereham and Luton Town, to go look favourites to take the Norwich Union East title, thanks to goals from Andy Law (2), Dominic Camilleri and Alex Hornshaw in a 4- 1 win over Colchester.
