Cannock maintained their three-point lead at the top of the Premier Division with a 3-2 win at home to Teddington. Second-placed Canterbury kept the pressure on with a 5-2 win at Beeston.

Holding a 2-0 interval lead, thanks to goals from Craig Parnham and Ben Sharpe, Cannock allowed Teddington back into the game with goals from Paul Way and Nick Conway before Sharpe collected his second and winning goal in the 59th minute.

Paul Wicken scored twice in the second half for Canterbury, who took control in the opening 11 minutes of their game at Nottingham with goals from David Hacker, Stuart Humphries and David Mathews.

Southgate, equal on points with Canterbury, won 3-1 at Doncaster, with fourth-placed Reading winning 7-3 at East Grinstead. The latter are still without their England goalkeeper David Luckes who is recovering from an operation.
