Frankie Dettori's maintained his phenomenal strike-rate at the Capannelle, Rome, yesterday, with four winners from five rides.

Dettori took the first three races aboard Grandfather's Love, Nicole Pharly and Blue Earthquake, but his luck temporarily deserted him on the John Gosden-trained Leap For Joy, who finished fifth to the 52-1 chance Golden Oriental in the Group Three Premio Umbria.

In the Group Two Premio Guido Berardelli for two-year-olds he drove GoldenAvventura to victory over John Dunlop's Yavlensky (Michael Roberts). Dettori had ridden three winners at the track the previous Sunday.

Peter Chapple-Hyam's Court Of Honour was unplaced on his final start for the trainer in the Sandown Cup, in Adelaide.

The Lord Huntingdon-trained Whitechapel (David Harrison) picked up pounds 2,372 when fourth in yesterday's Listed Grand Prix de Bordeaux over a mile and a half. The son of Arctic Tern had no answer when the pace quickened and was beaten seven lengths.
