Britain finally won its first medal at this year's world judo championships in Japan, thanks to a solid bronze performance from one of Britain's most successful international competitors over the past decade - the twice world featherweight champion Sharon Rendle, writes Jack Leonard from Makuhari. Rendle battled her way through the repechage to beat Jin Wang of China for a bronze medal.
