Letter: 'We were first'

Sir: I must correct both Henry Winter (Music for the supporters' ears, 12 August) and Timothy Hitchman (Letters, 19 August), the latter claiming Glasgow Rangers fans were the first to sing 'Campeones, campeones'. The Rangers fans copied their bitter rivals Celtic, whose fans sang it in 1988, their double winning centenary year.
