London Towers grouped with Verona

London Towers, the Budweiser League champions, have been grouped with Verona (Italy), Ankara (Turkey), Podgorica (Yugoslavia), Kormend (Hungary) and Tblisi (Georgia) in the first round of the European Cup. London will open in Verona on 18 September and play each team home and away.
Gary Payton, the Seattle SuperSonics guard who was passed over by the USA Committee the first time around, was named as replacement for Glenn Robinson on "Dream Team III" on Saturday. Robinson, who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks, earlier this week resigned from the team going to the Atlanta Olympics next month because of tendinitis in his right Achilles.
