Mark Walters in talks with Swindon after Stoke walkout

The former Liverpool winger Mark Walters is having signing talks with Swindon after walking out on Stoke. He is available on a free transfer after having a brief spell at Southampton last season after he was released by Liverpool.

The Danish striker Erik Bo Andersen scored against his old club, Aalborg, on Thursday as Rangers won 3-2 in the second match of their tour to Denmark. Ally McCoist and Gordan Petric also scored.

The former Wolves manager, John Barnwell, has succeeded Gordon Milne as the new chief executive of the League Managers' Association.
