Winkelhock claimed a stirring victory in the first 30-lap event, charging from sixth on the grid into second place by the first corner. Soper lead in the early stages but could not stop Winkelhock collecting his third championship victory in a row. Kieth Odor secured second place in the Nissan, from Will Hoy's Toyota.
In the second race Winkelhock led for two laps before being pressured into a spin by the second-placed Soper. Hoy challenged Soper hard for the lead until 10 laps from home, when he fell foul of the tricky Clearways corner, leaving Odor to chase Soper in vain. Soper leads Winkelhock in the championship by three points.Reuse content
