Lewis Hamilton defended his management team yesterday after Formula One chief executive Bernie Ecclestone called his partnership with XIX Entertainment, run by Simon Fuller, a "disaster".

"I decided not to have them at every race because I wanted to be on my own," Hamilton said. "For the future I'll have them at every race."
