McLaren's team principal Martin Whitmarsh lauded Lewis Hamilton for his second-place finish behind Seb Vettel in South Korea. "Lewis's drive was inspirational," he said. "He may be downplaying it, because he's a perfectionist and he wanted to win, but to withstand such enormous pressure, for lap after lap, from a faster car, was a drive worthy of the great champions."
After finishing 12sec adrift of Vettel and four-tenths of a second ahead of the German's Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber, Hamilton said: "It was one of my strongest races this season. There was so much pressure it would've been easy to make a mistake."Reuse content
