Pedro de la Rosa was forced to abandon his Ferrari today after the test driver's car began to spout smoke.
De le Rosa was only on his second lap behind the wheel of Ferrari's new F138 when he was forced to stop on the track.
It was the first time the Spanish driver had driven for Ferrari since joining the Italian side as a test driver.
The incident occurred on what is the fourth and final day of testing in Jerez.
Earlier in the week Nico Rosberg's Mercedes caught fire, while the following day Lewis Hamilton crashed out.
There are two more tests in Barcelona before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix on March 17.
