NBA PLAYERS & OWNERS MEET TO AVOID LOCK-OUT

The NBA players and owners have met again in an attempt to avoid a lock- out scheduled to start today. The league intended to lock out its players after the finals if a new collective bargaining agreement had not been reached. The NBA has been operating this season on a no strike, no lock- out basis, but that pact expires at the end of the play-offs and no deal has been reached as yet.
