Oxford United have admitted it is now unlikely that their pounds 15m new stadium will be ready for the start of next season. Building work on the 15,000-seat stadium, on the south side of the city, has stopped because of a contractual dispute and is already several weeks behind schedule. The First Division club are likely to continue at the Manor Ground at the start of next season before moving to the new stadium - possibly before Christmas.

Clydebank have appointed two senior players, David Irons and Kenny Brannigan, as joint caretaker managers, following last weekend's resignation of their chief coach, Brian Wright.
