Sussex have signed Mark Robinson, the former Yorkshire and Northamptonshire fast bowler, on a one-year contract. The 30-year-old, released by Yorkshire after six years at the end of last season, has been taken on as cover for the left-arm pace bowler Jason Lewry, who is out until the middle of June with a stress fracture of the back.
India added the uncapped off-spinner Noel David yesterday to the squad for their tour to the West Indies, while continuing to hope for the return of the injured fast bowler Javagal Srinath.
