THE BRITISH boxer, Robin Reid, taking a lead from Adrian Dodson the previous day, made short work of his victory over his light-middleweight opponent, Marcus Thomas last night. Reid recorded a knock-out win over the Barbadian after just 58 seconds of the first round.

Earlier, Paul Ingle scored a 9-7 points' win over Ghana's Alexander Baba in the flyweight division. Ingle joined in the controversy over the new scoring system, saying that combinations of punches were too quick for the judges to register.
