Today marks a year until the beginning of the London 2012 Olympics. The greatest show on earth will see more than 200 countries competing in more than two dozen sports and disciplines, battling each other for the glory of the podium.
As we look forward to next year's Games, we cast our eye over the last 112 years of the Olympics and the moments of unforgettable excellence, endurance and celebration.
