The Dutch judoka Edith Bosch, who delivered a blow to the man who threw a plastic bottle on to the track just before the 100m final, said yesterday the disruptor, whom she happened to be sitting near to, "disrespected" the Games. "Somebody came around who was disrespectful in a big way," said the 32-year-old, who won bronze in the 70kg event. "I pushed him away hard and said, 'Dude, what are you doing, are you crazy?'" Bosch isn't the only Olympian at the Games with a name that matched her performance; the Bulgarian 400m hurdler who fell and didn't finish her heat was... Vania Stambolova.
