Paul Cole, who won the 1994 Derby Italiano with Time Star, may be represented by both Precede and Royal Scimitar in this year's running of the Classic at the Capannelle, Rome, on Sunday.

Balliol Boy, trained by Henry Cecil, Luso (Clive Brittain), Court Of Honour (Peter Chapple-Hyam) and Steady Ready Go (Luca Cumani) are other probable raiders from these shores for a race which British-trained colts have won six times in the past ten years.
