2.35: MASTER CHARLIE has almost seven lengths to make up on Goodwood winner Spin Doctor. But a 6lb turn around in the weights, coupled with the improvement in form being displayed by many of Ian Balding's runners, can see this four-year-old regain the form of his excellent third to Learmont and Pistol River at Royal Ascot last June.

3.05: Jack Holt's Loch Patrick finished well into fourth from a poor draw in the five-furlong 'Dash' here on Wednesday, and his ALLTHRUTHENIGHT, from a stands-side stall, can gain compensation for the yard. The five-year-old reserves his best efforts for this track. Jack Berry's Another Episode, also a course and distance winner, looks to be the chief threat.

3.45: The causes of mud-loving Monsun and Urban Sea would not be served by a sound surface today. The latter, who took last year's Arc in heavy ground, looks to be up against it to confirm that form with second-placed White Muzzle and the fourth, INTREPIDITY. Andre Fabre's top class filly is back at the scene of her Oaks victory and can put her superior class on display today.

4.45: Local knowledge could be decisive. Like Robsera, a winner here yesterday, KISSAIR is trained on the Downs by Geoff Lewis, whose team are striking top form. Although the gelding's latest win came on testing ground he has also won on good going. Dick Hern's Lattam must concede the selection 20lb. The form of his Lingfield win three weeks ago has worked out very well, however.
