CHESTER

2.40: Feilden Stakes winner Cicerao has a further chance to put some Derby hopefuls in their place but may not be well served by the Chester turns and fast ground. STASH THE CASH is improving rapidly enough to make a successful transition from handicap company.

3.10: EL YASAF made an excellent impression at Newbury on his first run for Jack Berry and has been penalised only 3lb by the handicapper. He is a quick starter, which is important at this track, and can take advantage of a good draw. He is likely to start at a shorter price than the 6-1 offered by William Hill this morning (4-1 Coral).

3.40: Shambo and Shrewd Idea both gave their best performances at this meeting last year, when Shambo won this race, but may not cope with rivals who have made more consistent progress in the interim. PRINCE OF ANDROS is now primed to regain the Group-race winning thread after a promising seasonal debut at Sandown.

4.10: In an unusually large field for any race at Chester bar the Cup, a low draw is vital. Two qualifiers are Allinson's Mate, the Victoria Cup fifth for whom Michael Kinane is booked, and KINGCHIP BOY. He beat all but the handicap snip Dahyah at Ascot after a troubled run and is 9-1 with William Hill (8-1 Coral and Ladbrokes) at morning odds.
