Racing: Operation for Arazi
ARAZI is under intensive care after undergoing vital surgery in Newmarket. The breathtaking winner of the 1991 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, now a stallion at Sheikh Mohammed's Dalham Hall Stud, has been operated on after showing symptoms of colic.
Justin Wadham, a director of the stud, said: 'Arazi's symptoms were serious enough to convince us that we had to open him up to see what the problem was. What we found was a lot less serious than was feared and, provided he gets through this critical stage, the prognosis is good.'
Arazi has just completed his second season as a stallion. His first crop is due to run in 1996.
