A total of 48 horses have been entered for the Ladbroke (Handicap Hurdle) at Leopardstown on 11 January. There is the usual strong contingent of British-trained entries.

The home entries are headed by Urubande, winner of the Sun Alliance Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival last March before following up in the Aintree Hurdle on Grand National day, and Family Way, who finished runner- up in the big race last year.

For Britain, Paddy's Return, who landed the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, is among the entries along with the unbeaten Penny A Day. The weights for the race will be announced next Tuesday.
