HENRY CECIL'S Classic- winning pair, Oath and Ramruma, were among 21 acceptors yesterday for the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on 24 July, but it was the US challenger Yagli who attracted the betting interest.

Coral report heavy support for the colt and cut his price from 25-1 to 12-1. "Yagli is arguably the best middle-distance horse in America," Coral's spokesman, Simon Clare, said.

Cecil has taken out his Group One-winning four-year-olds Royal Anthem and Shiva, while Godolphin, have taken out last year's Derby winner High- Rise and the recent Irish Derby fifth Mutafaweq. Other notable withdrawals are the French colts Dark Moondancer, Croco Rouge and Montjeu.

King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Ascot, 24 July): Coral: 7- 2 Oath (from 4-1), 4-1 Daylami, 5-1 Fruits Of Love (from 7-1), 6-1 Daliapour, 8-1 Silver Patriarch, 12-1 Yagli (from 25-1), 16-1 Sunshine Street, 20- 1 Tchaikovsky, Central Park, 25-1 Caitano, Indigenous, Salford Express, 33-1 Borgia.
