Rowing: British Indoor Championships - Bracknell

Steve Redgrave became the first Briton to win the men's open world indoor title in 1991. Tomorrow the triple Olympic Champion rower races against fellow Olympic gold medallists, Matthew Pinsent and Greg and Jonny Searle. Not all the entrants are rowers. Andy Ripley, the former England rugby union international, will be among many applying his skills. Racing takes place on Concept II Rowing Ergometers, which have meters counting down the distance and individual performances are displayed as a graphic on monitors throughout each race.

How to get there: Bracknell Leisure Centre, Bagshot Road, Bracknell, Berkshire, is on A322 from junction three of M3. Spectating is free. Individual heats start at 9am, teams from 12.50. Team finals begin at 2.50pm, with the individuals from 3.50pm. (Tel: 0344 54203).
