Rugby Union: Wales through to the World Cup Sevens finals in Hong Kong

Wales are through to the World Cup Sevens finals in Hong Kong next year after two easy wins in the qualifying tournament in Dubai yesterday. They thrashed Kenya 45-0 and the Czech Republic 66-14.

Clive Griffiths has returned to union after an absence of 17 years as assistant coach of Welsh League First Division side Treorchy. Griffiths, 42, switched to rugby league with St Helens in 1979. He went on to play for and coach the Wales RL team, and has recently been assistant coach of the recent Great Britain side.
