London Irish have announced new long-term contracts for wing Sailosi Tagicakibau and back-row forward Chris Hala'ufia.

Samoan international wing Tagicakibau has agreed a four-year deal that will keep him at Irish until 2015, while Tongan Test player Hala'ufia has committed on three-year terms until 2014.

Both players are pivotal members of an Irish squad that is currently holding second place in the Aviva Premiership behind runaway leaders Northampton.

Irish head coach Toby Booth said: "We're delighted that Sailosi and Chris have signed long-term contracts with us.

"There is no doubt that these two players have been on the wish-lists of many clubs, both in the Premiership and in France.

"We've often spoken about this club's determination to continue to compete consistently with the best of the best in this country and Europe to win silverware.

"Retaining the services of quality international players like Sailosi and Chris is essential to the realisation of our objectives."
