Eddie Jones will take a close look at the next generation of English rugby when he takes 15 uncapped players to Argentina for this summer’s two-Test tour of Argentina, but how much do we know about the latest crop of red rose talent?

With four teenagers in the squad and a further three 20-year-olds, Jones has decided to overlook a number of fringe first-team players in order to try and develop strength in depth ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

After the squad was announced on Thursday, with Jones having to negotiate around the 16 players that were called up to the British and Irish Lions – and the players that were still available whom he may have planned to be without – the England head coach explained why each uncapped player had been chosen and what he hopes they will add to his squad.

Both Harlequins and Northampton Saints provide the most players for Jones’s squad with five each, while Sale Sharks, Exeter Chiefs and Wasps have all had four players called up, although both Jack Clifford of Harlequins and Wasps’ Sam Jones remain unavailable through injury.
