Leicester's European schedule

Martin Johnson and his Leicester side will face Llanelli, Perpignan and Calvisano when they launch their defence of the Heineken Cup in September. Johnson led the Zurich Premiership champions to their first European title with a 34-30 win over Stade Français at Parc des Princes last month, and they head Pool One of the 24-club competition.

POOL ONE: Leicester, Perpignan, Llanelli, Calvisano. POOL TWO: Wasps, Stade Français, Ulster, Treviso. POOL THREE: Bath, Biarritz, Swansea, Edinburgh Reivers. POOL FOUR: Harlequins, Castres, Munster, Bridgend. POOL FIVE: Northampton, Montferrand, Cardiff, Glasgow Caledonians. POOL SIX: Newcastle, Toulouse, Leinster, Newport.

Round One: 28/29/30 September; round two 5/6/7 October; round three 26/27/28 Oct; round four: 2/3/4 November; round five; 4/5/6 January 2002; round six 11/12/13 January; Quarter-finals: 25/26/27 January; Semi-finals: 27/28 April; Heineken Cup final: 25 May.
