15 Leigh Halfpenny (Wales)
Halfpenny has been Mr Consistent – even across Wales' run of bad results he stood out for his solidity. He is good under the high ball and has the all-round game in attack and defence. Alex Goode has played well, so has Stuart Hogg for Scotland – all three are making a good case to start ahead of Rob Kearney and that's without even considering Ben Foden. That's the thing about the Lions – there will be some high-quality players who don't even make the squad, let alone the Test side. I feel Halfpenny is the most gifted and his kicking swings it – it's important to have two kickers in the XV.
