Francis Joyon moved into the lead of the Europe 1 Single Handed Trans Atlantic Race yesterday. The Italian Giovanni Soldini heads the Monohulls.

The world No 1, Ed Baird of America, had an unbeaten four-win first day in Group A of the Coupe Brut de France match racing grand prix in Sete. Also in Group A Britain's Chris Law won three of his four starts.
