Sangster has Cees share
Robert Sangster has bought a half-share in Top Cees, the controversial Chester Cup winner, it was confirmed last night. The news followed a double for the horse's trainer, Lynda Ramsden, at Pontefract yesterday.
Jack Ramsden, Lynda's husband, said that Top Cees' targets were now the Ascot Stakes and the Northumberland Plate, with the Cesarewitch in the autumn also on the agenda.
Ramsden added: "It is also intended to aim the horse at the Melbourne Cup but he will have to improve a bit to get a high enough rating to qualify to run."
