CELTIC, who recovered from a two-goal deficit in their Uefa Cup first-round, first-leg tie to beat Cologne 3-0 at Parkhead on Wednesday in the second leg, hope to demonstrate similar form against Dundee today as they try and shrug off recent defeats in the Premier Division and resurrect their title challenge.

Pat Bonner returns in goal, but Gary Gillespie, dropped in favour of Mick Galloway, may struggle for re-selection while Dariusz Wdowczyk could return if fit from a back injury. Rudi Vata, the first Albanian to play in British football, is likely to be on the bench.

Rangers, four points clear of Aberdeen, Hearts and Celtic, are still wihout their captain Richard Gough for the visit of Falkirk. Gough, recovering from a groin injury, could be back next week. In his absence, Stuart McCall continues at full-back.

Falkirk hope to bring back Forbes Johnston from suspension and Kevin McAllister from injury to face the leaders. Goalkeeper Ian Westwater, out for five games with a thigh injury, could also return.

Scott Crabbe, Dundee United's pounds 215,000 signing from Hearts, will make his debut against Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Duncan Ferguson returns from suspension.
