Lawrie Smith was knocked out of the second and third races of the Portsmouth regatta yesterday when a collision holed his Ultra 30 Frontera in two places, writes Stuart Alexander. Smith hopes to have the boat ready for the second trio of races today. The man who hit him, Russell Peters in DBS, was exonerated of any blame and led the day with one first place and two seconds.
