Speedway: Captain fails breath test
Wolverhampton's chance of securing a unique treble of trophies this season disappeared yesterday when their captain, Ronnie Correy, was banned from the Four Team Championship at Peterbrough after failing the obligatory breath test before the Four Team Championship.
Without Correy, Wolverhampton, well clear at the top of the Premier League and through to the last eight of the Challenge Cup, fared miserably, going out in the semi-finals. Oxford won the trophy.
