THE National Football League made twice as much from the media as it did from gate receipts last year. The 28 NFL teams netted nearly dollars 800m ( pounds 432.4m) from radio and television, but only dollars 360m ( pounds 194.6m) from ticket sales. Players' salaries and bonuses totalled dollars 610m ( pounds 329.7m).
