Sport in Short: Equestrianism

NICK SKELTON and Michael Whitaker took the first two places in the Kerrygold Welcome Stakes on the first day of the Dublin Horse Show yesterday. Both riders had clear rounds but Skelton was more than a second faster than his fellow British Olympic squad member. John Whitaker then won the Speed Stakes on Fonda.
