AUSTRALIA defeated South Africa 28-20 to square the three-match series 1-1 in Brisbane yesterday. The match was marred by the sending- off of James Small for dissent late in the game. Small, the first South African to be dismissed in an international, received his marching orders from the English referee, Ed Morrison, late in the game. Jason Little scored two of Australia's three tries and his fellow centre, Tim Horan, the other as the home side recovered from being 10-3 down after only 10 minutes. The deciding match is in Sydney next weekend.
