SERGI BRUGUERA beat Magnus Gustafsson 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 to reach the final of the Godo tournament in Barcelona. The Spaniard, who beat the top seed, Andre Agassi, on Friday, will meet Andrei Medvedev, of Ukraine, in the final, to be played today.

AMANDA COETZER, beaten by Jennifer Capriati in the Hilton Head tournament last week, turned the tables to reach the semi-finals of the Bausch and Lomb championships in Amelia Island, Florida. Capriati was hampered by a sore right elbow in her 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 defeat. Coetzer now faces Gabriela Sabatini.
