CHARLES BARKLEY, the NBA's most valuable player last season, collapsed while running sprints at the Phoenix Suns' training camp in Flagstaff, Arizona, on Saturday night and remained on the floor for more than 30 minutes. Diagnosed as having a bulging disc in his back in August, Barkley was later able to walk from the court but it was not known how long he would be sidelined.
