PAKISTAN beat New Zealand by 11 runs in the a one-day international in Wellington yesterday. In a game reduced by early morning rain to 48 overs, Pakistan reached 213 for 6 thanks mainly to a 142-run partnership between Inzamam-ul-Haq and Aamir Sohail. New Zealand progressed steadily until the run-rate began to increase and they fell 12 short, finishing on 202 for 8.

ONE-DAY INTERNATIONAL (Wellington): Pakistan 213 for 6 (Aamir Sohail 76, Inzamam-ul-Haq 88) (48 overs); New Zealand 202 for 8 (48 overs). Pakistan win by 11 runs. (Pakistan take 3-0 winning lead in five-match series).
