MALCOLM ELLIOTT, the British professional road race champion, led a one- two for the Chevrolet-LA Sheriff team when he became the first rider to win the Redlands Classic stage race in California in successive years yesterday. Elliott finished ahead of his team- mate, Jeff Pierce, in the individual classification after Chevrolet had led the team race from start to finish.
